so I have some totally amazering news for youz!

a few days ago in my ap bio teacher's reg. class they went out to look for some oyster fossils down in the creek bed and this kid found a vertebrae to this fish that was around in the cretaceous period. my teacher is friggen fossil crazy so of course the guy knew what it was right away and calls the head of paleontology at SMU and he comes out and says they're pretty common so it's the school's property. They gave full charge to Mr. Kirpach(teacher) and he's letting us excavate the site. So Colin and I were out there all day helping out. Colin found this kickass old shark tooth and now Captain Kirk totally <3's him so it's kind of amusing...but yeah, as for the fish, we've found a whole bunch of vertebrae, some ribs, and part of the fins.

so yep...that's my kickass news for the day

we're gonna be out there all tomorrow and i'll prolly be there every day this week helping captain kirk out, so

HOORAH!

lol. ~ So my dream of getting to be a paleontologist comes true after all.
